It is all in the name: Serene-estate is synonym for peace and serenity. The brand new modern architecture accommodation is situated on the border of the famous iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The Dutch design is a mixture of minimalistic architecture and Nouvelles Formes with specific bent lines. Our challenge was to achieve an optimal synthesis between modern architecture and the natural landscape. For the warmth of African atmosphere we have used bright colours and lighting effects.
The lay out of our luxury accommodation is clear: from the central entrance / reception with staircase you have direct access on 3 different levels to the rooms, lounge, breakfast room / big terrace with roof garden and fish pond and the real swimming pool (12 X 5 m') with rim flow and martini deck. You can experience surreal nature and landscape from these different levels. From the top room of our boutique hotel you can even notice the ocean.
The spacious and very luxurious guest rooms have via big windows with a view into the gardens and the Wetland park. From your comfortable chair on the private terrace you can see e.g. bushbuck, red duiker, monkeys, mongoose, and a variety of birds. After sunset you hear the loud call of the bush baby and hippos can be spotted from a short distance and if you are lucky even a leopard.
Together with our warm hospitality we can offer you a wonderfull stay at Serene-estate. From this comfortable base you can explore the whole area, choose an exiting safari or tranquil birding tour, get wet with the whales during whale watching season or enjoy a majestic turtle tour. Because of the size, diversity and high quality of the tourist attractions and safaris you'll never regret to stay for a longer period of time in St Lucia.
